Jenifa’s Dairy has really had a positive influence on my career as an actress and I am really grateful for the opportunity and the encouragement I got at the initial stage from family and friends. Now when I walk on the street, people shout Toyo baby (laughs). All of a sudden, it has changed my name from Juliana to “Toyo baby”. ![]() Hmm…it has greatly influenced my acting career. Talking about your role in Jenifa’s Dairy, how has it influenced your acting career? ![]() I scaled through the first audition…I went through four different stages of auditions before I eventually got picked for the role I play in Jenifa’s Dairy. At the first audition I had over 500 people before me. Initially I was skeptical because I hardly pay attention to BCs, but my friends and loved ones encouraged me to go for it and I did. I got a BC (broadcast message) for an audition. What about your role in Jenifa’s Dairy, how did it happen? Other movies I have acted in are “where does beauty go”, “Couple of days” and “Pick now”. I have also acted in another TV series, “Me myself and my dairy” but it has not been aired yet. So Jenifa’s Dairy is the first major series I have acted in that has been aired. That’s how I started professionally.Īpart from acting, what other things do you do?Īpart from acting, I sing, I write and I work as a radio presenter at Praise World Radio, an online radio station.Ĭould you give us a break down of your acting career, how many movies have you done so far?īefore Jenifa’s Dairy, I acted in a TV series, but it has not been aired yet. Sometime ago, I went for an audition and I was picked. I have always been acting while I was in secondary school and in church. We act everyday… being an actor means being able to play the role you’re given very well and that is why you see some people hate or like someone because of the role such a person played in a particular movie.
